Edward
Correa is the owner and operator of Classical Pilates Workout.
He teaches the pure, genuine Pilates method of body conditioning.
Edward is dedicated to the original teachings of Joseph Pilates, which stand the test of time and deliver lasting, life-changing results.
The pure Pilates method trains the mind and body to work together toward a single goal of fitness. It is intelligent exercise that will change the shape of your body.
Edward is trained and certified in the classical form of Pilates as originally created by Joseph Pilates himself.

He has completed training under Master Teacher Romana Kryzanowska, the world-renowned protégé of Joseph Pilates and heir to his studio.
Romana Kryzanowska has been teaching the method for nearly six decades. Long ago Romana made a commitment to Joe and Clara Pilates to continue their life's work. Romana continues to deliver on that promise today by traveling the world and teaching the next generation of instructors.
Edward has also completed certification training with Romana Kryzanowska's hand-picked and personally trained "Teacher of Teachers" Dorothee VandeWalle.
Dorothee VandeWalle is recognized as one of the leading teacher trainers and master Pilates practitioners in the world. She has trained instructors at Pilates Certification Centers in New York, Chicago, Seattle, and Atlanta, and at Mari Winsor Studios in Los Angeles, California. She's been teaching Pilates for 20 years and used to assist master teacher Romana Kryzanowska with teacher training seminars.
Ms. VandeWalle has studied authentic Pilates since 1985 with Romana Kryzanowska and has been teaching in Seattle since 1993. Originally from Belgium, she started dancing at the age of seven and was trained on scholarship at the Institute für Buhnentanz. She danced professionally for over ten years in Europe and the United States.
Romana's program promotes the classic system, and does not focus on variations or implementations of other philosophies. This is the most rigorous of all the existing pilates certification programs, requiring completion of intensive seminar training and 800 apprenticeship hours. Apprentices must also pass a series of written and practical exams in order to be certified to teach others.
Edward believes that like any other profession, it’s imperative you keep your skills current and continuously network with your peers, that’s why he continues his training by attending continuing professional education with Romana once or more each year. He studies regularly with 1st generation Pilates teacher Jay Grimes. Mr. Grimes studied with Joseph and Clara Pilates for 12 years and continues to teach.
Edward knows there is more than one way to teach something, and he recognizes the need to tailor his teaching to each student's style of learning. Edward has been thoroughly trained on the beginner, intermediate and advanced systems and knows how to coordinate a personalized Pilates workout that will benefit each individual. Edward’s primary concern is always safety, and he is well versed on how to modify and tailor a program for different levels of fitness and for those who currently have or are recovering from injury.Questions/Comments about this website?
